Celebrating Christmas

Each of us can decide

How to celebrate at Christmas time

What comes to mind this time of year

What it is that gives us reason to cheer

Take me back to a time

When childhood was all mine

Staying out of school at the hint of snow

And bobsledding down the hill below

The excitement of Christmas morning looking beneath the tree

Finding the gifts we ask for when we sat on Santa's knee

Sparkling tree of wonder and gifts enchanting new

Magic, magic morning where Christmas dreams come true

We make our traditions last

As we reflect on Christmas past

We cherish the heirlooms hung on the tree

Each one a reminder

"It is better to give than to receive"

Christmas dinner with the ones we love the most

We hold hands and say a Christmas toast...

To the holly and the ivy

To the Christmas scent so sweet

To all those who've gathered here

You've made this day complete

As we feel the magic of the season

And we celebrate each reason

Remember the birth of a baby called "The Chosen One"

God's gift to us, His only Son
